ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for SECURITY.EXE on OpenVMS Alpha V6.1. This kit
addresses the following problems:
PROBLEMS ADDRESSED IN ALPSYS21_061:
o Prevention of interruptions of ORB/UNC manipulations:
A DOUBLDEALO BUGCHECK occurs during process rundown, caused by
double deallocation of a memory block.
There is a small window of opportunity between the time the
ORB is deallocate and the time its address is cleared in the
UNC that the image could be interrupted and a rundown thread
could pick up the ORB address and try to deallocate it again.
PROBLEMS ADDRESSED IN ALPSYS18_061 KIT:
o PGFIPLHI crash when referencing $GRANTID/$REVOKID (ID and
PRVATR) parameters.

INSTALLATION NOTES:
NOTE: In order for the images in this remedial kit to execute properly,
the ALPSHAD09_061 remedial kit for OpenVMS Alpha V6.1 must be installed
first. For assistance in obtaining the ALPSHAD09_061 remedial kit
please contact your normal Digital support channel.
Install this kit with the VMSINSTAL utility by logging into the
SYSTEM account, and typing the following at the DCL prompt:
@SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL ALPSYS21_061 [location of the saveset]
The saveset location may be a tape drive, or a disk directory that
contains the kit saveset.
The system should be rebooted after successful installation of the kit.
If you have other nodes in your VMScluster, they should also be
rebooted in order to make use of the new image
