ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO (patch) kit exists for OpenVMS VAX V5.4-1 and V5.4-2. This kit
addresses the following problems:
o On a VAX 4000, one of several error messages is displayed after
an Ethernet connection is lost or after enabling several Ethernet
connections consecutively (such as LAT, PCSA) during system
startup.
There is also an increase usage of Large Request Packets (LRP) in
memory. The LRP usage is mainly composed of CXB data structure
types.
o The system is running PATHWORKS for VMS on a VAX 4000-300. When
you copy from the file service to the PC, there is no delay in
the copy at all. However, if you try to copy from the PC to the
VAX, it takes 3-4 minutes for the copy to complete.
You are also logging PAA0 errors on the VAX.
o Upon starting up the PCFS_SERVER through normal procedures of
@SYS$STARTUP:PCFS_STARTUP.COM, DECnet will start producing DECnet
event messages 0.7 Abort Service request on system console
(OPCOM).
