ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO (patch) kit exists for the Audit Server on OpenVMS VAX V5.2
through V5.4-2. This kit addresses the following problems:
o When audit server resources become exhausted, the audit
server will crash the system regardless of what the
FINAL_ACTION is specified to be.
Problems description for V5.4 through V5.4-2:
o If an event happens, the audit server may not get updated
for one or two hours. Then if the system crashes before
this time elapse, this event will not be updated.
o On SMP systems, alarms would sometimes swamp the audit
server, causing the audit server process to exit.
o When audit server resources become exhausted, the audit
server will crash the system regardless of what the
FINAL_ACTION is specified to be.

INSTALLATION NOTES:
In order for the corrections in this kit to take effect, the system
must be rebooted. If the system is a member of a VAXcluster, the
entire cluster should be rebooted.
