ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO (patch) kit exists for TTDRIVER on OpenVMS VAX V5.1 through
V5.4-3. This kit addresses the following problems:
o Modem signals are being dropped at the wrong time causing the
modem to hangup. The problem was found during PTT Modem Signal
Testing. When a Carrier (CAR) modem signal was dropped, the
driver does not wait 2 seconds before resetting the modem.
o The typeahead buffer is not cleared when the port is reset.
o Modem signals were not always reset properly in the routine
'TTY$SETUP_UCB'.
o Corrupted IPL 6. This problem has only been reported once. The
timing window to make it happen is very small.
o TTY$W_RB_TXTOFF may sometimes go negative. A check is now done
in the TTY$ABORT_IO routine to make sure that if TTY$W_RB_TXOFF
does go negative that it is now set to zero.
This problem is fixed in OpenVMS VAX V5.4-1.
o In the UNLINKFORK routine, a check was not done to determine if
the TTDRIVER had already done the unlink. It is has done the
unlink, the code will now exit.
This problem is fixed in OpenVMS VAX V5.4-1.
